So what makes Version 18 so good. I have yet to use all the new features and tools that come with V18 but have no hesitation in recommending it. However, make sure your PC has the muscle to run it before you buy. I'm still getting to grips with this new version. I haven't been editing video for a while and have only upgraded because my SLR shoots HD and my older version of Studio couldn't cope with it.
I had won a copy of Sony's editing suite, but despite it claiming to do HD it crashed constantly and was very sluggish and unintuitive. I decided to upgrade to version 18 Ultimate as I had just built a new computer. It loads with no problems and is packed with features and can even edit 4k 3d video though I have not tried this yet.
This is sophisticated software so make sure your PC is up to it - memory is the key. The price was very good - cheaper than the special offer download and you get the hard copy disc. Looking forward to getting into using it. I've used pinnacle studio 16 before on window 7 but for some reason pinnacle studios 16 I had didnt on windows 8.
But its good news just brought Pinnacle studio 18, loaded it on window 8. Im glad it works as I needed it for my website. One person found this helpful. You would have thought Pinnacle would get things right before release. I have a new PC with Windows 7. This program constantly asks me to install Vista service pack 2. Otherwise it won't work or install properly. There is a fix for this on Pinnacle website. Have done this and all seems good. If you buy this download the free fix from Pinnacle.
Seems to require an update which never takes effect. Title Editor cannot be opened. So, a big part in Editing is missing. Whilst I am sure this version of Pinnacle software would be stunning to use, I have been unable to install the program because of a computer glitch surrounding updating of DirectX.
